Hermann Gassner Jr took his privately-owned GT86 CS-R3 car to a very impressive finish in this weekend’s Rallye Deutschland, the German round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
The German driver, who last year competed in his national rally championship with the CS-R3 and won the 2WD class on several events, competed with the best in the rally world on Trier-based Rallye Deutschland and finished the event on top.
He was the top competitor in the R3 category, finishing the event 10 minutes ahead of his nearest challenger. Hermann also finished as the second best two-wheel-drive competitor, less than three minutes behind the leading car in the class. Overall, the #75 CS-R3 finished an impressive 33rd, ahead of several full-season WRC entrants.
