CS-Cup: The Better Package
The GT86 CS-Cup, launched for the 2016 season, is the successor to the popular CS-V3 race car and, like its predecessor, it has been proven on the world’s toughest race track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
With more power, more torque and reduced weight, the CS-Cup delivers better performance while rear-wheel-drive gives a fun, real racing feel for drivers of varying abilities. Modifications such as flat-foot gear shifting with auto-blip and adjusted sixth gear enhance the driving experience, delivering better lap times whilst still maintaining the CS-V3 car’s ease of use.
Selected parts and concepts have been adapted from the CS-R3 rally car, meaning many upgrades were already proved in tough competitive conditions, even before TGR-E’s demanding testing schedule on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The CS-Cup is designed for the Nürburgring Langstrecken Series’ (NLS, formerly known as VLN) SP3 regulations and has immediately established itself as a front-runner in this competitive class, but it is also suitable for other series around the world, such as the 24 Hour Series.
The GT86 CS-V3 is one of four cars eligible for the Europe-wide TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Trophy which offers an attractive prize money fund for TGR-E customer teams in selected races and championships such as the NLS, the Nürburgring 24 Hours or the Swedish Touring Endurance Championship.
