GR Supra GT4 – a race car for all levels of drivers

From zero to hero: It took the GR Supra GT4 less than five months from its first race to its first title success. The 430 hp customer racing car, developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, concluded its first season by winning the FFSA GT4 France’s Am Cup for drivers and teams thanks to Wilfried Cazalbon, César Gazeau and the CMR team. This was followed by a second title win by Rookie Racing in the Japanese Super Taikyu Series. In total, the GR Supra GT4 took part in 85 races, achieving 26 podium finishes and twelve class wins in its inaugural season.

With the GR Supra GT4, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing intends to strengthen its focus on customer motorsport in order to enable motorsport-lovers to participate in races worldwide. GT4 cars are eligible to participate in a variety of races and championships across the globe including the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and Pirelli SRO GT4 America in the US and the Super Taikyu Series in Japan.

In Europe, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe offers a further incentive to its customers with the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Trophy offering prize money for outstanding results in various championships. Following the specification of the GR Supra road car, the front suspension will be MacPherson strut, and rear suspension will be multilink with KW dampers at the front and rear. The braking system is enhanced through the use of a dedicated brake calliper for racing, six-piston front and four-piston rear, while running on Pirelli tyres.

Designed to appeal to drivers of all levels, the GR Supra GT4 benefits from its unique Intelligent GT4 Racing System which, through user-friendly electronics and automatic functionality, minimises distractions to allow the driver to focus fully on racing the car.
