At the second round of the GT4 European Series at Circuit Paul Ricard, the French TOYOTA GAZOO Racing customer team CMR celebrated its first overall victory of the season. Stephane Lemeret and Antoine Potty, driving the #8 GR Supra GT4, won the second race of the weekend. The pair was already fighting for the lead in the first race, where they finished second overall in a field of 41 GT4 cars. With these results, Lemeret and Potty now lead the Silver drivers’ standings.
In the second race, their CMR team-mates Wilfried Cazalbon and Andrea Benezet also made it to the podium by finishing second in the AM class in the #3 sister car. In race one, they had to retire early due to an accident in the formation lap that was not their fault.
In southern France, Piotr and Antoni Chodzen, in their SVC Sport Management-run GR Supra GT4, competed in the AM class for the first time and immediately finished fifth in race one. In the second race, they had to retire the number 33 car early after a contact with another competitor.
Last weekend also saw the start of the Slovenian Rally Championship. At the Rally Velenje, Grega Premrl and Gregor Breser set the fastest time on five of the six special stages and took a convincing class victory in the Toyota GT86 CS-R3.
