Right in time before the first TMG GT86 Cup race on Nürburgring on March 29 the 2014 rules have been presented. All interested parties and the participants can download them now at www.gt86-cup.com. The most important change on the successful first season last year is the higher prize money TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG) pays out. In the TMG GT86 Cup 2014, the drivers will battle for a total of Euro 86,000.
In 2014, TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG)’s terms are once again very attractive. The registration fee of €4,500 is now levied per car and this provides the teams with an opportunity also to use guest drivers eligible to score. The fee also comprises three TMG driver overalls, spare parts and tyres at special prices plus an extensive spare-part service on site.
We can say now that in its second season the TMG GT86 Cup, organised within the framework of the “Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring (VLN)” by the way, will see many drivers. From March 10, only four brand new racers are available for the cup, at €38,500 plus VAT.
Nico Ehlert, Principal Engineer Customer Motorsport: “I’m quite certain that with our optimised rules and cars we can provide interested drivers a really attractive package. It goes without saying the we have also looked at what last season’s teams said they would have wanted in general and, if at all possible, adjusted the rules accordingly. After very good feedback during the excellent first season in 2013 we therefore have all we need to see attractive and exciting races, with the same conditions for all. I look forward to an exciting 2014 season.“
