TMG United is looking for up-and-coming talent

Next season, TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG) will again support the TMG United team in the VLN V3 class. And the team is again searching for a driver of its TMG GT86 CS-V3.

After a successful first season, the TMG United team will again participate in the V3 class of the VLN long-distance championship. Last year, 22-year-old Moritz Oestreich was chosen after a long selection process to drive the TMG GT86 CS-V3 race car. This year, the man from Petersberg will again take on the Nürburgring Nordschleife for TMG United and is to be supported by another up-and-coming talent.

TMG United: Enjoying motorsports, even after work

The TMG United team is made up of TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH staff who participate in the racing project in their own time. They come from various departments, for example engineers, production staff, test bench staff or student workers. All are professionally involved in motorsport but are not normally involved in TMG’s on-track operations. The TMG United project helps them to pool their know-how, translate it into practice and be there on the race track, gaining useful experience. To achieve this they work on the TMG GT86 CS-V3 after work or on weekends, instructed by experienced colleagues to make the racing car fit for the next season. The car will be raced in six VLN races, always piloted by Moritz Oestreich.

This year’s TMG United project manager, Yves Lötzerich, Coordinator Freight Team Management & Logistics, says: “The TMG United idea is really something special. We have always found it important also to use this team to promote and support up-and-coming motorsport talents. We are therefore very pleased that Moritz Oestreich will again be with us in the V3 class. And we are looking forward to see who will apply to drive alongside him.”
